I honestly feel like you can never have too many bags – there always seems to be some item around that benefits from being put into one. And so, I present you with a simple tutorial for making one of the most useful bags around – the clutch. Once you’ve mastered this, the possibilities for bag sizes, colors, and designs are endless.
Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. Plus, I’d love to see how your handmade clutch turns out, so send over a picture for the site! Enjoy!
Aka The Collector’s Dress‘ twin sister. Wouldn’t the two have a ball together?
Me: “What are you doing on Saturday, December 15?”
You: “Oh some stuff, nothing too important, why?”
Me: “Well, you should come to the Stripe Holiday Trunk Show. It’s all day at the shop (107 Walnut Street). There will be five local Santa Cruz designers there (including yours truly) offering exclusive holiday gifts and limited edition items.”
You: “Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Me: “Thank, you’re the best friend a gal could ask for.”
Sometimes it’s hard to give someone a $240 fitted dress as a gift (but not impossible!). To address this and provide more affordable and gift-friendly items, I’ve been busy making one-of-a-kind hair clips and clutches. All fabric used in production is either locally purchased or vintage (with the exception of the wax print fabric from Africa – which came from Africa).
Here’s a sneak peak at some of my items….
