Home for the holidays photo shoot

I recently styled a holiday photo shoot for The Penny Rose (www.thepennyrose.com) that is being unveiled every day this week. The feature is based on three sisters reuniting for the holiday season inspired by Downton Abbey (which comes back on in January, yah!!). It was such a fun project and a great crew of people to work with. They even let me slip a Sally Esposito Design into the shoot.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from the incredibly talent Nick Chao. Check out The Penny Rose for the full spread!

“….it is better to have a little of the best than to be swamped with the derivative, the careless, the routine.” — Robert Bringhurst

Let’s slow down for a second and pay attention to the details, the textures. Let’s create something the old fashioned way – with thought, with care. Let’s choose quality over quantity. Let’s use our minds and our imaginations and our hands to make something honest.

When we do this, we build a story. Each garment is designed and created this way. My hope is that every piece becomes a treasure to be admired and worn for years to come.
