The Endless Summer Dress

Dana Rader, owner of Stripe in Santa Cruz, found over a bolt of this fantastic vintage fabric and was generous enough to give it to me to make beautiful creations for all of you! You may remember the peplum I made from it a few months back. Well, hold on to your undergarments because there are even more designs to come in this fabric, including shift tops, pencil skirts, and dresses!

You can pre-order a shift dress like the one pictured below (with or without sleeves) in your size via Etsy. Each dress is $168, 100% linen (so you know it only gets softer and better with every wash), handmade, and one-of-a-kind. Please allow up to three weeks for the dress to made, although rush orders may be possible for an additional charge.

A big thank you

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Stripe Holiday Trunk Show! It was a super fun day and a pleasure to get to know some of Santa Cruz’s finest. I got to talk to so many awesome people, and I even learned how to tie a bow tie. Thank you for supporting me and local businesses!

If you missed the show, have no fear – you can swing by Stripe Men to pick up one of my uber-classy, handmade bow ties!

The Character’s Dress featured in Santa Cruz Fashion Week

Santa Cruz Fashion Week is in full effect and killing it with fall looks from Cameron Marks (the store just got a bunch of Lauren Moffatt fall 2012 items in – Go!), Stripe (Santa Cruz’s apple of my eye), Wallflower (stocked with cute, original outfits at great prices), Synergy (comfy knits that transfer from the yoga studio to the street), and Tomboy (adore – they always have new awesome western inspired pieces at affordable prices). The outfits, styled by Missy Schnaps, are all perfect for fall while still being real life “wearable”.

I’m happy to say The Character’s Dress made it as one of the two looks for Stripe! Take a look at the beautiful photos by Nick Chao and check out the full post HERE.
